About the Scholarship
The Bils-Frombaugh Scholarship was established in 1997 to further a senior Wynford FFA member's education. Technical or college education will be considered. Members eligible must have been in FFA for at least 3 years and have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Applicants will be required to complete a State FFA degree application and complete a one page essay outlining their goals for the immediate future and 5 to 10 years down the road. The essay should include what institution the applicant plans to attend and what degree is being sought.
The one page essay is to be attached to the Application for State FFA Degree and handed in to the Agriculture Instructor who in turn will present the application test scores as well as the essay to the Board of Directors of the Galion Community Foundation for selection of the individual. Test scoring is established by the Ohio FFA standards and are scored to the nearest 100th of a point. Upon notification by the Board of Directors as aforesaid to the Agriculture Teacher at Wynford High School, the selected individual will be presented the scholarship at the annual FFA Award Banquet. The actual transfer of funds would not be completed until presentation of the receipt of payment to the educational institution. In the event of a tie the monies shall be equally divided.
