Scholarships

Students from schools in Crawford County, Richland County, and Morrow County (with stipulations and exceptions as detailed in individual scholarship descriptions) are eligible for these scholarships. Applications for all scholarships are available at Galion High School, regardless of school applicant attends.

Annual amounts of awards may vary from those listed; all scholarships may not be awarded each year, depending on structure of fund and stipulations of award, as well as application pool.

Gabrielle Kaple, recipient of the 2020 Freese - Burgess Women in Engineering Scholarship.
Established: 2020

Awarded to a deserving female graduate of Galion High School pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – including but not limited to Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, Bio-Medical, Computer and Materials.

Abigail Brocwell, recipient of the 2020 Georgia (Wilt) Roads scholarship.

The Georiga (Wilt) Roads Memorial Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship to be awarded annually to one (1) graduate of Colonel Crawford High School and resident within that district beginning in 2020.

Alexander M. Lawson, recipient of the 2020 Byron D. Smith Memorial Scholarship.
Established: 2016

The Byron D. Smith Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School.

Paige Reagan, recipient of 2020 Chad Thomas Grix Scholarship.
Established: 2016

The Chad Thomas Grix memorial scholarship awards $1000 x 1 year to a student who has been active in the GHS Music program.

Katelin Baughn, one of two recipients of the 2020 Edna Price Beck Scholarship
Established: 1988

The Edna Price Beck Scholarship is a $1500 to $2000 scholarship awarded to a Galion High School Senior.

Kim Tuck is recipient of the 2020 Bils-Frombaugh Scholarship. Kim earned her State FFA degree last year.
Established: 1997

The Bils-Frombaugh Scholarship is a $500 scholarship awarded to a Wynford High School FFA member.
